Careif supports UK and international students on the Queen Mary University of London – MSc in Mental Health (Transcultural mental health, Mental health & Law and Psychological therapies)
This MSc is designed to advance the careers of aspiring professionals in medicine, mental health, psychology, psychiatry, and other fields where mental health is the focus of the work. We do this by sharing the scientific evidence base to inform professional practice and empower research that will change the way care is provided. The MSc lecturers draw on their experience and expertise of a vast array of disciplines, such as Psychology, Anthropology, Psychiatry, Law, Sociology, Epidemiology, Creative arts, Cultural research and Health service research).
The MSc in Mental Health programme consists of three modules: Advanced mental health assessment, Transcultural mental health, Psychological therapies or Mental Health and Law (depending on the pathway chosen), and Mental health research. Students also complete a clinical placement and a dissertation. The course offers core modules and a range of options (including Distance Learning) to enable a personalised pathway. Modules are also available on a single basis along with different exit levels (PGCert and PGDip).
